Having recently opened our new Real Estate company based completely on cloud computing, perhaps we haven't considered the security risks. How do you recommend we protect our sensitive data, yet still operate with everything in the cloud?

Good article, the fear of transition and change to something "that is working" too often times leaves business operating at below their capacity. In this competitive market place, prices have come down and cost savings over a short term will justify costs of the upgrades, which should also create new avenues for creating revenue.

Due to the nature of our business and high overhead in parts inventory, physical plant, technicians, and the need to have product in stock to sell, the expenditure required for IT upgrades would not positively impact our profitability in the near or distant future.

Good stuff Joe! We're finding that companies are getting new equipment after years of using the old. Lots of gear for recycling or resale.

This makes total sense. As business owners develop business plans, a routine assessment of their resources and technologies is prudent. Technology changes are rapid and continually evolve to provide economies of scale, efficiencies and improved business management processes. A reallocation of resources can help grow business in an efficient fashion.
